Bologna welcomes those who want to discover all its wonders even in summer, opening the doors of the city’s rich cultural offerings to visitors. Until August 1, in fact, tourists who choose the capital of Emilia for their summer weekend can take advantage of the campaign “Bologna Welcomes You.”
Here’s how it works: those who book a night for the weekend in one of the affiliated structures receive a free second night and a special card that gives access to the most unmissable cultural attractions of the Emilian capital—naturally, all in the name of safety.
The Card provides free admission to the splendid Two Towers complex, a symbol of the city, and to all museums of the Bologna Musei Institution and discounts on guided tours and reserved seats for the “Sotto le Stelle del Cinema” screenings, organized by Cineteca di Bologna. And that’s not all: the Card allows tourists to get a 10% discount at restaurants, pubs, and breweries participating in the initiative.
The entire process of selection of offers and access to services is managed online through the dedicated website. A choice dictated by the need to avoid waiting or assembling at physical points, thus ensuring visitors maximum comfort, safety, and tranquility.
During their stay, tourists will also have access to the new MyBologna app, which allows them to talk remotely with information points, move around the city and the metropolitan area, search and book restaurants, and experiences and tours.
Bologna Welcomes You is organized by Destinazione turistica Bologna metropolitana and Bologna Welcome, in collaboration with ASCOM-Confcommercio, Confesercenti, CNA, Unindustria, Istituzione Bologna Musei and Cineteca di Bologna. The initiative, moreover, is part of “This is Bologna,” the campaign to relaunch tourism in the city of Bologna.
“We are certain that Bologna Welcomes You will be a driving force for the relaunch of tourism in our city that will characterize Bologna even more as an organized and safe destination, thanks above all too efficient online booking systems such as the new MyBologna app,” Giovanni Trombetti, President of Bologna Welcome, commented in an official note.
A unique opportunity to discover a surprising, creative, and always fascinating city. Breathe in its authentic spirit among the UNESCO candidate porticoes, squares, towers, churches, and historic buildings. Finally, through its museums, appreciate the entire cultural history of the city, from the evidence of its Etruscan and Roman roots to the paintings and writings of its modern and contemporary artists.
